Loved it, still on testing mode but working perfectly.

A little early to say its bullet proof but happy with it after a week of use

I purchased 6 of these units to connect my new mini-split system to my network so I can control everything centrally and remotely. While the Klima was easy to set up (once boldr got the correct remote codes), and it does provide basic scheduling and temp adjustments, it's not quite fully capable of replacing my existing remotes. Specifically, 1) The Klima only has 3 fan speeds (plus auto), while my air handlers have 5. Not being able to synch my preferred (quiet) speed with the app is a real hassle, as I have to reset the airflow every time the schedule prompts Klima to adjust the temp. 2) same goes for louvre position. My remotes give me 6 options, Klima 2. 3) The units are programmed to adjust temp based on C increments, not F, so it's difficult to fine tune the temperature in F because the Klima can only move by 2 degree increments. 4) The touch screen is non-intuitive. If you don't know specifically where you need to put your finger, the screen will not react, so when the back-lighting is turned off, anyone not familiar with the system will not know how to operate it.

These are all easy fixes, and hopefully boldr will roll out improvements in the near future. I have found their customer service very helpful and responsive, which gives me hope that within a reasonable period of time they will improve the firmware so that Klima can act as a true replacement for the existing remote control.

Came nicely packaged and appeared good quality. However my Mitsubishi heat pump (a pretty common manufacturer) was not one of the pre programmed units for remote control. Was informed they would investigate and upload a command set for my remote but that it would be 10 days. I received this review request (according to Boldr) on day 15 of ownership. My date they have committed to getting the new command set to me is 3 days away and I have not heard any progress on that front.(working on it? Preparing a configuration? finalizing the command set?) So as of right now 2 stars based on packaging, build quality and promise of what might be. If by the end of next week no other communication then I will contact about refund.
EDIT: Customer service contacted me ahead of the 10 day requirement. They had developed the necessary command set for my unit and downloaded it. After about 2 days the Klima is doing what it promised, controlling my mini split heat pump. Thus far I am
Please and will upgrading my review to 4 stars. Only reason not 5 is that I am not certain about the “power consumption” accuracy. It seems to be projecting it a bit high (I have power monitoring for the whole house as part of my solar system). I will keep an eye on it. But for most customers power consumption monitoring probably isn’t that important of a function. For making your heat pump (programming) easier to use and schedule the Klima is doing a great job. Overall, the product performs well and delivers on its core functionality. I especially appreciate its ease of use and thoughtful design. One feature I would like to see added is the option to always display the temperature or toggle it based on user preference.

Within the Boldr app, several features are labeled as “coming soon” and are currently inactive. For instance, the ability to invite a temporary guest isn’t yet available—this would be particularly valuable for short-term rental setups like Airbnb. Similarly, the open window detection feature is not yet active, but could significantly enhance energy efficiency.

It would also be useful to have alerts for power outages or Wi-Fi disconnections, as this would help users quickly respond to any system interruptions.

Looking forward to future updates that unlock these promising features.
