Is Klima compatible with my air conditioner or heat pump?
Klima is manufacturer-agnostic, meaning it works with air conditioners (ACs) and heat pumps from nearly every brand. This includes mini-splits, window ACs, air-to-air heat pumps, and traditional air conditioners.
The only requirement is that your AC has an infrared remote control with a display showing the current settings.

How does Klima work?

How many Klima units do I need?
You would need one Klima per Air Conditioner but they can all communicate centrally through the app for a simple experience!

How do I make my split AC smart?
To make your split AC smart, you can install Klima, a smart device that pairs with your mini split AC. It allows you to control the temperature, schedule cooling, and heating, and monitor energy usage from your smartphone. This upgrade enables automation, remote access, and smart home compatibility without needing to replace your existing AC unit.

Klima
So far so good. Easy setup and works my Mr Cool who wouldn’t interface with it’s app.
I purchased three Klima’s as part of our remodeling project, replacing antiquated LED remotes. The Klima’s are awesome! It took me five minutes to connect and now I’m able to leverage the smart features for all three rooms via iPhone. There’s also a handy scheduling feature to optimize usage along with an Energy Dashboard that monitors electricity consumption.
Only one minor downside is that you have an exposed power wire if you want to wall mount the unit. We ordered the separate docks and placed on nightstands and desks. I did my research on the competition and Boldr is the superior option for our needs. So far, we’ve been very pleased!
Although I’m typically skeptical of recommending new products to my customers, I’ve used this in my own home to control our sunroom Mitsubishi mini split which is 15 years old. The Boldr controls it nicely and runs the schedule as it should.
The only change I would like to see in a future update would be the ability to see the active room temperature stay visible on the display, currently you have to physically walk up and touch one of the buttons to see the temp display.
Easy to install, work great, sync temps off by a few degrees with other devices but adjustment is easy to make in the app
