What is the Wattage of my heater?
The Kelvin Standard heater is 450W while the Kelvin Large heater is 750W.
What is the correct heater for me?
That depends entirely on the size of the room you wish to heat and your ceiling height. We recommend the Kelvin Large heater for 10m²-19m² rooms and the Kelvin Standard heater for rooms under 9m² assuming a standard 2.4m (7.8ft) ceiling height.
What is infrared heating? Is it safe?
KELVIN works through far infrared radiant heat. Rather than heating the air, far infrared radiant heats you and the object in your room directly. Its best compared to the warmth of the sun, which warms you regardless of the temperature of the air around you. The opposite to Radiant heat is convection heat. Convection heaters heat air, which retains heat poorly and disappears on draughts. Far infrared heating is completely safe and has been used by people in their homes for decades.
What safety standards do KELVIN heater adhere to?
Kelvin meets the highest European safety standards and is certified to the EN 60335-2-30 and EN 60335-1 standards. Moreover, all Kelvin models have an IP44 rating allowing them to be used safely in bathrooms and kitchens, where resistance to water splashes and moisture is needed. KELVIN also complies with the more recent EU Lot 20 Legislation around heating efficiency.
Are there any maintenance/servicing costs associated with KELVIN?

Can I control my heating when I am not on my home Wifi?
Yes, the BOLDR app allows you to control the heater remotely using 4G.
Do I need Wifi to use the KELVIN heater?
You will need WiFi to connect the heaters and temperature sensors to your app. You will need a standard 2.4Ghz Wifi Bandwidth. If your rounter has band steering, we advise that you uncouple the 2.4Ghz and 5.0 Ghz networks. This can easily be done by logging into your wifi router IP address! You can find detailed information on this in our Help Center
Can I use Alexa or Google Home to control my heaters?
Not yet, but we expect to release a software update in June 2023 which will allow users to control their home heating via Alexa or Google Home.
How do I use the BOLDR app?
The Boldr app is designed to be easy and intuitive to use. However, should you have any issues, you can find detailed tutorials and instructions for the Boldr App in the Help Center.

What kind of warranty do BOLDR products come with?
The Boldr products comee with a 2 year manufacturer warranty. Within the warranty period, repair or replacement due to defects in material and workmanship are completely free of charge; the costs are covered by the manufacturer on presentation of your invoice or delivery slip. What voids the warranty?
A warranty is void if you install or use products incorrectly as outlined in the instructional manual. The warranty is also void if you tamper with the product in any way. More information can be found in the warranty section of the footer.
What IP rating do I need for my bathroom?
The KELVIN IP44 rating allows you to install your heater safely in bathrooms. We advise that you install your radiator outside of the splash zone.
Where is the best place to install my KELVIN heater?
We recommend installing the KELVIN heater on a wall facing away from a window. Always ensure that there is plenty of space for the infrared to travel through the room.
How long is the power cable?
The power cable is 1.8 meters long.
Do I need a professional installer to fit KELVIN heaters?
The KELVIN heater can be mounted to your wall in a matter of minutes. Most clients do it themselves.
