How do I install a Kelvin?
Kelvin can be DIY-installed in under 5 minutes with all screws and guides included in the box. For USA clients, we provide drywall anchors for easy installation without the need for any tools. If you're not handy, no problem! You can contact a handyman or local installer for quick and easy installation.
Where should I install a Kelvin?
We recommend installing the Kelvin facing high areas of use. If it’s your home office, then the ideal positioning will be facing your work desk. This allows you to feel comfortable at lower air temperatures and maximise the energy saving capabilities of infrared heat.
How many Kelvins heaters do I need?
That depends entirely on the size of the room you wish to heat and your ceiling height. We recommend the Kelvin Large heater for larger rooms of 107 sqft - 204 sqft (10m²-19m²) and the Kelvin Standard heater for rooms under 96 sqft (9m²) assuming a standard 7.8ft (2.4m) ceiling height.
What is infrared heating and how does it help me save on energy bills?
Infrared heating works by warming people and objects directly, rather than just heating the air. This means you feel comfortably warm even at lower room temperatures, allowing you to turn down your thermostat without sacrificing comfort. For every degree you lower your thermostat, you can save up to 13% on your monthly energy bill, making infrared an efficient and cost-saving heating option.
Is infrared heat safe?
Yes, infrared heat is completely safe. It’s the same natural warmth you feel from the sun, but without the harmful UV rays or the intensity of microwaves. In fact, human skin naturally radiates infrared heat, and so does a coal fire — making it one of the most natural and gentle forms of warmth.
Do I need anything else to operate the Kelvin heater?
Nothing extra is needed to operate the Kelvin heater. Everything you need comes included in the box for quick setup — just plug it into any standard outlet. It also comes with a temperature and humidity sensor and a free app with no subscription fees that unlocks intelligent, energy-saving features.
Can I install kelvin on the ceiling?
Kelvin is designed for easy wall mounting, and everything you need for that setup is included in the box. While ceiling installation is possible, we don’t recommend doing it without professional help, as it requires additional mechanical fasteners to securely latch the glass in place.
Can Kelvin heating be installed in bathrooms?
Yes, Kelvin can be used in bathrooms. All models have an IP44 rating, meaning they’re protected against water splashes and moisture, making them safe for bathrooms and kitchens. However, they should not be installed where they could come into direct contact with water, such as inside a shower or directly above a bathtub or sink.

Really nice heater

I'm very pleased with the purchase. Installation is pretty straightforward. We hung it on the far wall in our bathroom and it looks great for what it is. The app works well to program to be on for certain times of day or maintain certain temperature. Our bathroom is oversized for the heater, but we just use it as a supplement to our central heating, as the master bath is relatively poorly heated compared to the rest of the house, and it works well to raise the temp 2 or 3 degrees (despite being a larger area to heat) and you can feel the heat from it on your skin even standing 10+ feet away. It's somewhat subtle but noticeable and really took the chill off our bathroom. I would purchase again for sure. Only tip is coming up with a better way to align the screws and mounting brackets when hanging it on the wall during install. It's a bit of a pain to line them up. Also, you have to do some customization to get the flush look on the wall without wires. Here's what worked really well for us: We had an electrician install a recessed outlet behind the unit (On-q In-wall TV connection Kit power and cable mgmt kit w 15 amp receptacle from Crutchfield). This worked perfect to put extra cord into the wall and plug it in where the unit can be flush to the wall. I think a regular AC wall receptacle probably won't work.

Great product...poor delivery and support

Well, I think I understand the frustrations of others. Amazingly, I too got a smashed thermostat (right down to the crushed battery) that was non-function). I also thought it was useless as after plugging it in and seeing how it would do, it did nothing and sent them queries from which I have as yet gotten no response. That is the bad news. The good news is that even without a thermostat it works fine IF YOU TURN IT ON!!!.. That is right the reset button is an on switch and THEY NEVER TELL YOU THAT YOU NEED TO TURN IT ON (other than a cryptic comment in the manual saying not to activate it until it in place BUT NOT MENTIONING IT HAS A MECHANICAL ON BUTTOM). When the heater is turned on, it works nicely without a thermostat (and giving in to them, I am paying 100 bucks for the smart thermostat and holder...Hmmmm). So my final evaluation is that it is a great product with perhaps the worst product support I have seen in a long time.

Perfect Additional Heater

Our bedroom is really cold despite the radiator we have in there. This was a perfect addition. It’s now always warm with no air blowing, no sound, and it looks beautiful.

After installing on the wall, the sensor is nonfunctional (the included battery is dented and the cover is cracked). Tried all the troubleshooting tips to no avail and put in a support ticket. Reply was all the same troubleshooting I already tried. After I responded to that, radio silence. I now have an expensive piece of wall art and no customer support to help resolve.
